Tested on Windows 7 x86 only, but works on x64 as well (withous the content of "System files" folder). System files for x86 pre-SP1! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
In order to use custom themes you have to patch your system files. To do that, download and install Universal Theme Patcher from this link:
Rainmeter and theme files that I provided have nothing to do with each other. Those are completely diferent things. The visual style changes the Windows taskbar (at the top in my case), wallpaper and visual elements of start menu and windows. That should be working fine if you place the content of the "Theme" folder in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes after you have patched system file using this: [link]
Now, the bar at the bottom is the Rainmeter. I have not provided any files that should be used with Rainmeter, you have to find them for yourself. There are names of the skins in the description. After installing Rainmeter, you have to download each skin from Deviantart and put it in C:\Users\your username\Documents\Rainmeter\Skins (if I remember correctly, I haven't used it for more than a year). Then start the Rainmeter, right-click on it's icon in the taskbar, and turn on each skin individually by going through menus and clicking on them. The transparent bar itself is from Enigma skin which was default at the time, I just changed the height of it. You have to download it if it is not present in new version of Rainmeter. Unfortunately I cannot tell you the values I changed because I have neither Windows nor Rainmeter installed at the moment because I switched to Linux completely...
I've found my old post which describes the changes made to Enigma Rainmeter skin (the bottom bar):
"When you open Taskbar-with-Panel.ini (somewhere inside the Enigma folder) you will see the value "H=??". You can change it to whatever hight you want. Value "W=??" is responsible for the width of the panel. Just remove "/3".You should get "W=#WORKAREAWIDTH#". Save the file, right-click on the panel and select "refresh all"."
My taskbar isnīt changing, i dont really seem to see any change at all. Though i want it to look exactly as it looks on the picture above. But, it seems i have a really hard time getting to that point. Please help!
Look through the first few pages in the comments, everything is explained many times. How to center taskbar icons, what files to use for the Rainmeter... everything.
Have copied the file into the themes directory and on double-clicking nothing happened. I'm on Windows 7 64 bit. Is there anything else I should be doing ?
By "system files" in this case I mean the content of the "System files" folder. You shouldn't use them if you have Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 7 x64.
In order to be able to use themes you have to patch three files in C:\Windows\System32 folder, these are completely different files. Sorry for the confusion.
